What is the Matica’s chromXpert brand?
Matica’s chromXpert printer supplies are created specifically to work with the Matica desktop card printer range. The portfolio includes:

Why do I need an ID card security ribbon?
Security ID card ribbons are designed for secure issuance programs such as; secure government ID cards, secure corporate cards, secure access control cards and secure student cards, to name but a few. A chromXpert Security ID card ribbon not only prints the crisp colour expected from the chromXpert range but also features subtle security panel overlays which reduce the risk of counterfeiting.
With Direct-to-card (DTC) ID card printers the (O) overlay panel protects the printed information and ensures the cards durability. The only secure ID card ribbon compatible with the Matica DTC range is the YMCScKO for the MC310.
In the retransfer ID card printing process the colour and security panels are transferred to the clear retransfer film and subsequently to the card surface. This process can be used on a range of ID card materials, including embedded chip ID cards and ID cards with an irregular surface. Matica offers two security ribbons for the MC660, one featuring a Uv panel and one featuring a pearlescent security ink panel. The XID8300 and XID8600 have one security ribbon featuring a Uv panel.

Depending on your Matica ID card printer and its print process (DTC or retransfer) the type of Matica ID card printer ribbons available will vary. The chromXpert ID card printer ribbons are optimised for high colour reproduction but also offer:
